I made a very high-res panorama with a custom camera mount. Details here.

To leak a little PageRank: Jill Martinez for Congress.

Back When ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US was moving it's Zig across the net, I went a little overboard and wrote my own photomontage algorithm and generated this image(97k) linked at left. You can also get a full resolution version (684k 2048x2560, been known to crash older versions of IE) or the image collection(255k) used to generate the image.

Posters of this image (16x20 and 23x29) is now available here. The sources for the posters is higher quality than the full resolution image above (the JPEG file for the small one is almost 2.5 megs), and theres no markup, so don't bother making your own store to get it through.

I've considered releasing the source code to the software, but I discovered it infringed on this patent. However, I only directly infringed claims 1 and 2, for which I have since discovered prior art. I also previously believed that I may have infringed claim 3 via the DoE, but have since concluded that I did not because not only did my implementation not operate in RGB color space, it is functionally different in that it did not take the root of the mean-square-error, and did not preform a strict average of errors calculated for each channel.

Additionally, I am developing a method of creating such a mosaic image that does not even directly infringe claim 1 (it does not involve (plural) distinct sub-regions within each tile region), and could potentially produce better results for smaller source collections, and significantly faster results for large ones. I may develop it into a workable program at some point.

I also produced this other AYB-related image:
